Last night at around 10:40 my time I did something pretty pathetic. I sent out an S.O.S., a call for help. I wrote a post literally begging for some “likes.”
I had just received a notification in my WordPress reader that I had set a new record of likes for one day. 199 likes. Was I happy about my new record number of likes? You’re darn tootin’ I was.
But then I got greedy. I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to hit 200 posts in one day? And so, figuring there was over an hour left in the day, I sent out my solicitous post asking for likes.
Well, it worked. When I woke up this morning and looked at yesterday’s stats, I had received ten additional likes, for a total of 209 for the day. Woo hoo!
So first, thank you for helping me surpass my goal of 200 likes in one day. And second, I apologize for my brazenly egocentric and manipulative tactics in a lamentable effort to jack up my stats. It’s inexcusable.
Now let’s go for 210!
It’s so addictive! 😂😂😂

I’m never of any help in this area. But I love Snoopy (above), and I appreciated that post — had no idea so many “likes” could stack up in a day.

We all have lapses.. We prove we like you by doing your prompts, so rest easy…

LOL. I ‘liked’ you a LOT yesterday, so I’ve done my part. Just FYI, if you read Carol at Wanderings of an Elusive Mind, you may find a reason more people don’t ‘like’ posts. It’s WordPress fudging about again, getting fudge all over our pristine pages….bastards! 😉

Combustible mind and elusive mind. Sounds like you and Carol have a lot in common. 🤔

🙂 Well in a honesty, I see nothing wrong in you asking for “Likes”.

I have a teeny favour to ask in return for the little clicks I gave you …

Uh oh. Here it comes. So, what can I do for you?

Nothing quite like a bit of manipulation, eh?
I think it’s the foster parent in me – I always notice a door left open, a place I can step in to get something from someone … kids do it best, but you left the door open, so later, maybe, and I’ll remind you, I surely will …

Yep, I left the door open. Now I guess I’ll just wait for your reminder.

I mean I comment late (blame it on my job), and than I see how much your blog has grown but besides Michael, Jim, James… New faces.. So don’t get me wrong I’m happy for you… But sometimes it feels foreign..

Oh. Well yeah, my blog has grown a lot, especially since I started FOWC With Fandango back in June. So I get a lot more views and comments from people who never used to read or comment on it. I hope it’s not getting too foreign for you, Sight.

As long as you read and Post on the other side of the screen all is good…

I see no reason to apologize, we all like to see our work appreciated and that next level is always so enticing to reach for. I hope you hit 250 soon!
