Sex Education

Due to their very conservative beliefs, my parents refused to sign the permission slip for me to take the ninth grade sex education course at school. And because they are very religious and were embarrassed to talk with me about the birds and the bees, I was very naïve when it came to my body and sex.

When I was in the tenth grade I started going out with Jimmy, who was a senior. It was Jimmy who taught me all about sex. He introduced me to all of my erogenous zones, which I knew nothing about, and when he touched me there, the feelings were totally bodacious.

One night, Jimmy and I were deep in the throes of passion, in a mode where nothing else mattered. I gave up my virginity to Jimmy and it was truly magical.

Unfortunately, with my lack of sex education, it never occurred to me that our magic night would lead to me getting pregnant. I was the only pregnant girl in my eleventh grade class. I was ostracized by the other girls, and that destroyed my ego. Jimmy was away at college and my parents ended up, reluctantly, having to turn our guest bedroom into a nursery and to furnish it with the necessary baby stuff.

I’m now a senior in high school and I love my baby, but my advice is to be sure to take sex ed in school, no matter what your parents say.

Fandango’s Provocative Question #124

FPQ

Welcome once again to Fandango’s Provocative Question. Each week I will pose what I think is a provocative question for your consideration.

By provocative, I don’t mean a question that will cause annoyance or anger. Nor do I mean a question intended to arouse sexual desire or interest.

What I do mean is a question that is likely to get you to think, to be creative, and to provoke a response. Hopefully a positive response.

I am not preoccupied with death, but I must admit that as I’ve aged, I think more about it now, as a septuagenarian, than I used to in my younger days. We know that none of us is immortal and that we’re all going to die at some point in the future. That brings me to this week’s provocative question:

Would you want to know before hand the date, time, and circumstances of your death, or would you rather not know when and how it will happen?

If you choose to participate, write a post with your response to the question. Once you are done, tag your post with #FPQ and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments. But remember to check to confirm that your pingback or your link shows up in the comments.

FOWC with Fandango — Pregnant

FOWCWelcome to June 30, 2021 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “pregnant.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

Reaping What He Sowed

The greedy magnate built his conglomerate
Using unharmonious techniques of concinnity
And he quashed the competition
By the most devious of means
Including abusing his own employees

He’s impervious to criticism
And does as he pleases
With no consideration for the consequences
But the scumbag will reap what he sowed
When at the stroke of midnight tonight
All employees company-wide will go on strike
