Trump Tests Positive

Wow, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, both tested positive for the coronavirus. Hmm. So much for this being a hoax, for it going away like a miracle, for warmer weather knocking it out, for playing it down, for not wearing protective face masks, and for ignoring social distancing. Oops.

The other day, in my Provocative Question post, I asked about karma, or the notion of reap what you sow and what goes around, comes around. Because I don’t believe in reincarnation, an afterlife, predestination, or fate, I have tended to write off the notion of karma as just another way humans try to explain things that they don’t really understand.

But after learning that POTUS and FLOTUS tested positive for COVID-19, I’m thinking that I might have to rethink the idea of karma.

I wonder if this news will finally end the squabble over whether or not the Trump administration has totally mismanaged the pandemic. Will it amplify criticism or will it generate ferocious pushback from Trump loyalists, especially if he fully recovers? And what affect, if any, will it have on the campaign and presidential election, which is exactly one month from tomorrow?

I guess, as Trump is wont to say, “We’ll see what happens.”

How did you find the news out? How did they? Who originally broke the news? Ask yourself why.

Trump tweeted it late last night. And yes, I have asked myself why and have come up with a number of theories, none of them good.

Even if he were positive, I don’t think he would have announced it without some reason. The sympathy vote?

That’s possible, but to me, it shows that he’s stupid and careless. But I guess his supporters, who themselves are mostly stupid and careless, will feel sorry for him.

“…your Biden”? Well, we know where you stand, don’t we? I don’t think the two actually shook hands, did they? Besides, anyone who would shake hands with Trump should immediately wash their hands thoroughly in order to remove “your” Trump’s slime.

I know Trump is not a Saint, however in keeping with my Faith, I have to vote for Trump over Biden; Biden who IS a Catholic (traitor) because he believes in the killing of innocence (abortion).
I don’t expect you to understand, Fandango, my POV but I thank you for always being polite to me!

Trump is now in the hospital, I am sure you heard.

So the fact that Trump is a lying grifter who is destroying America is fine with you as long as he appoints pro-life judges? Trump is not pro-life. He’s just pretending to be in order to get the evangelicals to support him. He doesn’t care about fetuses any more than he cares about ripping migrant children from the arms of their mothers and locking them up in cages. He doesn’t care about the poor or the needy or the sick. Where are his Christian values? Jesus would be ashamed and embarrassed by him. He’s an insincere slimy sleaze, but if all you care about is taking away women’s reproductive rights, then by all means, vote for him and turn our country into a Russian satellite.

              From the Regeneron website:

As is the case with many other science-focused biotechnology companies, Regeneron uses a wide variety of research tools and technologies to help discover and develop new therapeutics.

Stem cells are one such tool. The stem cells most commonly used at Regeneron are mouse embryonic stem cells and human blood stem cells. Currently, there are limited research efforts employing human-induced pluripotent stem cell lines derived from adult human cells and human embryonic stem cells

IN CASE YOU’RE NOT AWARE, TRUMP’s TREATMENT INVOLVED REGENERON.

The idea of using blood from patients who have recovered from COVID-19 as a treatment against the novel coronavirus emerged about [in february]. During the early days of the outbreak, state-owned China National Biotec Group said that convalescent plasma showed positive outcomes when used on about a dozen critically ill patients in Wuhan

I agree, a bottle or two of clorox! Now is the time to show the world that he believes in himself.

Karma happens in this lifetime only, except that the cause and effect is not obvious immediately.

Yes, he should drink some Clorox and also inject it into himself and his wife! It is Karma or poetic justice

He can get a doctor’s note to skip the next debate. What really bothers me is that supposedly he and members of his senior staff take the Covid19 test EVERY DAY, so really, for how long did they know before actually making it public? Hope Hicks was feeling unwell already the night of the debate, so those people at the rally the next day should be asking some serious questions about Trump knowingly exposing them to the virus …

Wow!, ferocious, and squabble seem to be fitting adjectives for this discussion. But it’s been an interesting read.
