Wouldn’t you like to expose your newer readers to some of you earlier posts that they might never have seen? Or remind your long term followers of posts that they might not remember?
Each Friday I will publish a post I wrote on this exact date in a previous year.
How about you? Why don’t you reach back into your own archives and highlight a post that you wrote on this very date in a previous year? You can repost your Friday Flashback post on your blog and pingback to this post. Or you can just write a comment below with a link to the post you selected.
If you’ve been blogging for less than a year, go ahead and choose a post that you previously published on this day (the 27th) of any month within the past year and link to that post in a comment.
This was originally posted on September 27, 2017 in response to a Daily Prompt word from WordPress. Remember them?
Coincidence?
I generally don’t believe in coincidences. But then I saw a comment on one of my recent posts by my blogger friend, Jim Adams. He wrote, “I just Googled ‘money is almost always a restriction’ and the first thing that came up was your post. That is so awesome.”
So I tried it and, sure enough, there was my post at the very top of the list of responses!
So, was it just a coincidence that Jim looked up that line from my post in Google and saw that it topped the list? Or was it preordained that someday some post that I wrote would be in the top spot on a Google search (albeit, a very specific search)?
Something like this could make one reevaluate his whole system of beliefs!
Very interesting!

My stuff was referred to by a few searh engines of Blogger, although the only referrer I noticed on WordPress, so far, has been Bing.
I took part, you should see my old post in a pingback.

How peculiar, I find spelling colour the English way has put me at number 2 for a specific google search I think, which just goes to show its the right way.
This is mine from a year ago, same shit, same day, the weather is a bit worse today I think.

I enjoyed that post; the photos, the music, etc. What are the painted rocks about?

The rocks? People paint them and hide them, then when you find them you are meant to take a photo, go onto a specific facebook site and post your photo, then hide the rocks somewhere else, it seems like a great way to make a walk over complicated if you ask me. However I do like the rocks when they appear, they usually migrate at night so morning is the best time when they’re asleep. I think the FB page was called Worcester rocks, but I could be wrong. Its all over the world this rock hiding craze.

If I had a penny for everything that I ever Googled, I could retire. Hey wait, I am retired.

Maybe by next week I will be caught up and can post my flashback again. That is cool that you show up in a search.
