Weekend Writing Prompt — Preposperous

I’ll tell you what’s preposterous. It’s that George Santos has been sworn in as the representative for New York’s 3rd congressional district.

Santos is guilty of a series of lies about his qualifications, work background, his claims that he is the descendant of Holocaust survivors, fabrications about his education, and past employment.

That this Republican, who has confessed to lying about his background and qualifications, was sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives is preposterous.

(Exactly 75 words)

Written for Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt, where the prompt is “preposterous” in exactly 75 words.

An excellent example — but the entire week in Congress was pretty preposterous!

It’s like he can’t believe he’s getting away with it. When will he be carted away? How about never?

I’m hoping he will be extradited to Brazil — a country that gave up on prosecuting him years ago when they didn’t know what he was any more.

… authorities in Brazil have confirmed that they plan to revive fraud charges against Mr Santos related to a 2008 stolen chequebook…. in the city of Niterói, near Rio de Janeiro. The case had been suspended because Brazilian authorities were unable to locate him.

Too me, it seems quiet typical of the modern Republican “Party”. He also sent a white power signal.

Yes, he fits right in with his Republican contemporaries in Congress. Shameful.

Here is a pill to swallow. Those who voted for him are likely to do so again. Not a happy thing, but preposterous is the right word.

Is he really more preposterous than the rest of the clown show? Seems like birds of a feather are in the GOP together.

He’s just, as you say, another crazy clown in the Republican three ring circus!

The Republican party is preposterous. Jelly instead of a spine or terrorists waiting for the word to start firing.
