It reminds me of a Jewish preacher who marveled at Dream Works,
that we’re so into believing things that aren’t true. I heard’m right after
he had come back from overseas and was complaining about a country
that couldn’t even get it together to have stop lights – right before he died.
I wondered if he would have led some people to stop being anti-government…
in the sense that socialism, gettin together to do good, would be acceptable now.

‘Meanwhile in Congress, lawmakers are advancing legislation that could give Amazon new tax breaks and give $10 billion to company founder Jeff Bezos’s space company.’ [This after Amazon was just in May awarded a $10 billion dollar government contract (a renewal despite not living up to terms).]

There’s a strange statement about children currently being “reliant” on textbooks, notebooks, and pencils — that causes me to think outside of their herding or attempt to coral thought and false hope — of slaves and women being denied useful understanding plus skills of agency and autonomy. The powerful will be fine if subjugation isn’t confined to people of color, just so long as there are the class divides and there is systemic control.
