Welcome to November 24, 2021 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “guys.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.
ODE TO GUYS
Bad guys are out to get me
I’m hiding in the roof
Graffiti’d on their motorbikes
I think you’re a poof
Jeez, some people can’t take a joke……

… with my little eyes
The word Guys!
Yeah, yeah fer sure,
Way too easy, am l right?
You’re wanting something more ..
Mm, let me see,
What can or could it be?
I will now tries,
… to upsize,
From Guys,
… but first l must apprize,
Or maybe just prise,
… simpler like wise,
Not merely likewise,
… but something that may tantalise,
The eyes of the Guys!
Without coming across as just creepy!

Very good, Rory. Did you Google “Rhymes with Guys”? 😂

Hahaha – no :0
My secret is way simpler than even Googling – just write your word at the top and then go through the alphabet and think of what rhymes which is why at times, some are a bit ‘stretched’ 🙂
