FOWC with Fandango — Blur

FOWCWelcome to May 5, 2021 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “blur.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

Good one. I hadn’t seen the video before, nor realized the name of the song is Blur.

Ah, nice one Brian. My first thought when I saw the word prompt today. Blur and especially Song 2 always takes me back to very nice places in my past 🙂

Oh❕they weren’t a one or two hit wonder, huh. Even the songs that weren’t “hits” are very enjoyable… and enjoyed right now. My new favorite.

Not at all. Some of the spin-off groups/music is fab as well. Damon Albarn is one of the creators of the virtual band Gorillaz Graham Coxon, the guitarist is also an artist
Maybe you would enjoy this as well

Love that. As for Gorillaz Graham Coxon, I’ve like the Gorillaz a long time, but haven’t followed closely. [I have done so with someone else contemporary to them; won’t get into who.] As I try to “get a clue” now: https://www.reddit.com/r/gorillaz/comments/8vag5p/graham_coxon_on_magic_city/

I listed to a couple videos. They seem significantly different from the original? I’ll keep my eye out.

              Thanks!

Okay, Got it. A period was missing after Gorillaz, before Graham Coxon — as a “d” was missing off my “liked” (of Gorila/the Gorillaz). 🤪

Not a variation, as such… I will check on Graham Coxon in his own right.

I used the word in an email to a company, yesterday, after having composed the text of the email a few days before.

Per the post-pingback (Louis Carreras) right before mine: what a wonderful story! Got my eyes watering so I had to take a break before I read the last sentence.
