“If Liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they don’t want to hear.”
English novelist, essayist, journalist, and critic,
George Orwell
The current President of the United States of America does not want people to tell him what he doesn’t want to hear.
So much for “with liberty and justice for all,” the phrase from the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. Liberty and justice seem to be no longer relevant in Trump’s America.
Written for this week’s One-Liner Wednesday prompt from Linda G. Hill.
A good quote to share in today’s political environment

In order to hear one first needs to listen. I doubt that anything gets that far.

Lord Dampnut doesn’t care a whit about liberty and justice or anything but having his own ego stroked. He would love to be able to have people executed for disagreeing with him.

Or at least, if not executed, imprisoned.
