It’s July 14, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “trust.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

When my mother-in-law died, Lou, I wanted something tactile to remember her by. I’m happy I received a carved cherry, reclining Buddha she had chosen (while she was Christian, in a very relaxed way).

Cherry holds great detail when carved, and has a wonderful tactile nature when held. A perfect wood for a carved Buddha – I can almost picture it now.

I really couldn’t have asked for anything better.

That was a statement of sentiment and enjoyment. For clarity, I’ll add, I received additional items: two-dimensional, framed pieces worth thousands. But that item is my favorite [could conceivably also be worth a thousand, although I don’t know its provenance, but doesn’t have to be]; perfectly fulfilled what came spontaneously to mind (tactile) that I wished to have and is lovely.
