Deb, over at Nope, Not Pam, has this weekly challenge called A Letter a Week where she gives us a place, an emotion, an adjective, a verb, and an animal all starting with the same letter. Then she asks us to write a post using those items and the letter she has given us, which this week is the letter G. I missed A through F, so this is my first time participating. Hey, better late than never, right?
Anyway, this week’s G challenge is:
Place – garden
Emotion – gloat
Adjective – goofy
Verb – grasp
Animal – galah
“I don’t mean to gloat,” Jean said, “but isn’t my garden the loveliest garden you’ve ever seen?”
“I’m sorry, but I’m distracted by your parrot over there,” Nick said. “I can’t quite grasp what it’s saying.”
“He’s not a parrot, Nick, he’s a galah,” Jean corrected him. “And don’t let that bird distract you. He’s just being goofy.”
You know that you can use any words and animals starting from that letter. At least that’s what I understood. Good one BTW

But where’s the fun in that?

Good one! I participated once but have forgotten! When something doesn’t pop up in my feed I miss it. Actually, I just bought a Rocketbook to keep track of what I do when I am on WP.

It is a pad that you use a Pilot Eraseable Pen. There is an app for you phone that recognizes the black outer line of the pages. Show the app your page and it uploads it automatically and you can set it to where you want the document to go. I have my stuff either going to an email or to a WordPress folder on my computer. Then you use a little water and a soft cloth and wipe off the ink. Now you have a new page, but no paper to store. It is fantastic. David and I both got the Pro version. It wasn’t crazy expensive either, maybe $45? They have “special pens” but when you get the thing in the mail it is simply a Pilot pen. There are icons on the bottom of the pages that you can check to alert the app to send your document to a specific place. David bought some downloadable templates because you can use it as a calendar, an agenda, whatever. Check out a video on youtube. I think you can leave the writing on the page for a month without it causing any stains.

Yeah, if you are sick of notebooks and agendas…it is awesome. No technology really either. Just an app!

The galah is a pink and grey cockatoo.

Isn’t a cockatoo part of the parrot family?
