I’m still hosting my guests from out of town, but I’m going to squeeze in a few minutes to post my answers to the latest edition of Share Your World from Melanie at Sparks From a Combustible Mind.
Why do we have such trouble telling our loved ones that we love them? Do you have that kind of communication issue with your loved ones?
As the old song goes, “you always hurt the one you love, the one you shouldn’t hurt at all.” I don’t know if this answers the question, but some say that familiarity breeds contempt. It also seems that the more time you spend with someone, the more you tend to take them for granted. I have to make an effort to make sure I tell my wife how much she means to me.
Decorations for holidays? Spirit lifters or pain in the butt? Or a mix?
Pain in the butt. I’m not big into holiday decorations since my kids grew up and moved out.
Do you donate to charities? Of your time, do you feel money is the only true gift, or other?
I give to a few charities, but only in modest amounts, since I’m retired and have no regular income other than my Social Security and 401(k). As to volunteering my own time? Fuhgeddaboudit!
Are you too superstitious or have you ever played with a Ouija Board?
I am not at all superstitious. I played with a Ouija Board once in a fascinating game of strip Ouija.
HARVEST GRATITUDE:
This week please share a photo or image of what ‘harvest’ and “Autumn” mean to you!

I agree with your first answer. We do take our loved ones for granted.

We barely felt it. It was also Fleet Week, which they enjoyed.

Did you go skiing after playing strip Ouija?

I don’t think skiing was the physical activity I engaged in that night.
