One-Liner Wednesday — The Prescience of Lincoln

48793930-2AC7-4806-A9ED-AA1A49F1A7CCI always knew that Abe Lincoln was a man who was way ahead of his time. In addition to being president, the man was prescient. I mean how else can you explain him knowing about the internet a hundred years before it was invented?

And you know it must be true if you saw it on the internet.

Plus, he was called “Honest Abe,” for crissake.

Written for this week’s One-Liner Wednesday prompt from Linda G. Hill.

While working as a store clerk, Lincoln mistakenly took six cents too much from a customer. That night after the store closed, he walked three miles to return the customer’s money.
