SoCS — Take Note

For this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt, Linda G. Hill has asked us to use the word “note.”

I love listening to music, but please take note, when it comes to reading music, I cannot read a note

And speaking about being unable to read, I cannot read my own handwriting. So I use my Notes app on my iPhone to write myself notes, grocery shopping lists, blog post ideas, reminders, and any other things to take note of.

I have another note taking app on my iPhone. It’s called “Simplenote,” and that is where I write the first drafts of many of my blog posts. Like this one, for instance. Then I copy and paste from Simplenote to Jetpack/WordPress app on my iPhone.

Weekend Writing Prompt — Music Appreciation

My taste in music has gone through phases
From Top 40 as a teen to Soul/R&B as a young adult
I then embraced Progressive, Album-Oriented Rock

In the Eighties, New Age/Smooth Jazz was my shtick
Back to Pop at the turn of the century
But where I landed is the best music genre of all:

Classic Rock

(Exactly 57 words)

Hilarious

Do you want to hear something hilarious? Well, you may have heard the former President and presumptive nominee to be the Republican candidate in November’s election, Donald Trump is being mercilessly mocked on social media after reportedly falling asleep periodically during his hush-money criminal trial in New York.

Responding to reports that he has been dozing off in court in his ongoing hush-money criminal trial in New York City, Trump said…

“I don’t fall asleep. I simply close my beautiful blue eyes, sometimes, listen intensely, and take it ALL in!”

Is that hilarious or what?

FOWC

Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “forum.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, ÿplease manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.
