FOWC with Fandango — Captivated

FOWC

Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “captivated.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, ÿplease manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

    ODE TO CAPTIVATED

    Challenge captivated?
    What a silly word
    This challenge is ridiculous
    This challenge is absurd

I use the Grammarly keyboard on my iPhone and it offers me an opportunity to “improve” my writing by rewriting a paragraph or however many sentences I’ve highlighted. I’ve tried it a couple of times but even though Grammarly considers its rewrite to be an improvement, I never “accept” its revision because it always sounds stilted.

I have no capacity to realize that not everyone in the blogosphere loves Lou’s writing style. No neutered chats!

By the way, I have a new conspiracy theory — or observation. The very afternoon after I first clicked on a chat result for a search on my iPad, my music worlds merged as per what I play when I say for “Alexa” to play — not on my iPad. The somewhat differentiated artists used to remain separate, and I didn’t mind switching; saying to play this (for a while) and then play that (for a while).
