#100WW — Annie’s Pies

5240613C-06A0-40FA-8B2C-4CC2144158D4Annie has always been a little over-the-top and some believe she’s anal retentive. She pays such attention to detail that it becomes an obsession with her. It’s not that she is suffering from OCD or anything. It’s just that everything, down to the very last detail, must be exactly the way she needs it to be or she gets thrown off.

For example, she loves to bake. She especially loves to bake apple, peach, and cherry pies. But she feels compelled to spell the word “PIE” all around the crust of her fruit-filled pies.

Which, by the way, are delicious.

One day, we had pie and my son heard the word, and came wobble walking as fast as his toddler legs could take him, saying “I PIE. I PIE. I PIE.” Hitting his chest indicating he wanted a bite. I found out that grandma had given him some before without our knowledge. Apparently, he liked it. Flash forward….Neither of our kids really enjoyed cake, so we always had pies or cookie cakes for birthday celebrations. (to this very day)

I don’t eat cakes or pies or chocolates… Stop writing about food Sensei. It’s not a good reminder of things I don’t try..

Life without cakes, pies, or chocolate is hardly worth living! And ice cream, too!

Goddammit stop teasing me Sensei. If we ever meet the only food you will be trying are good old vegetarian dishes. Like flat bread with lentils..

Happy Pi Day 🙂 I really like your take on the anal retentive pie maker — but at least she’s making pie 🙂 Thanks for joining us!!

I didn’t put it together that today, 3-14, is Pi day. Damn. I wish I had remembered that.
