FOWC with Fandango — Cope

FOWC

Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “cope.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, ÿplease manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

    Nothing quite beats the shape,
    Of the Cape,
And yet the word is Cope,
    Not even cop or crop,
Which gives just as much scope,
    … like the word drop,
    Breath, width, depth and length,
    Pretty much like the telescope.

    ODE TO COPE

    Challenge word is cope (yep)
    Synonym is survive
    Thinking up a last line
    Coming up with shive

A flat, wide cork for plugging a large hole
    or closing a wide-mouthed bottle……

    How’s about that……

I tried to play pickle ball, for the first time, today. I’ve got bruises to show for it, including on my face! Admittedly I had a couple double gin and tonics beforehand. But I’ve got the rules under my belt. So, next time, no drinks. Right?
