FOWC with Fandango — Incessant

FOWCWelcome to September 15, 2020 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “incessant.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

MLMM Photo Challenge — The Hive

I don’t know how much more of this I can take
The constant buzzing
It’s incessant
Twenty-four by seven
Day in
Day out
This place is like a hive
And I’m a worker bee
A drone
Living in a cell
Inside a honeycomb
There’s no escape

I’ll climb to the top
Above the din
Where the sun shines
Where the breezes blow
Where I can see the horizon
I’ll look around
And see what could be
I’ll look down
And see what is
And then I’ll decide
To take flight
To free fall
Either way
I’ll be set free
