Easy peasy. I’m retired, so there is no work life. There’s only home life.
For me, a more realistic question is how do I balance my online life (i.e., blogging on WordPress) and my offline life (i.e., real life).
I’m still trying to figure that out.
I worked for ten years ( after I left the Gov) for a company that was infamous for touting work/life balance while abusing it. A lot of us would on hearing the term used would make obscene gestures with our hands, and laugh. We knew it was just empty posturing.
Unfortunately I still feel that it is empty posturing when I hear corporate HR people talk about it to this day – I no longer do the obscene gestures, but I do laugh.

Work/Life balance to most employers seems to be 100% work and whatever is left for home life.

I am sure that balancing, is hardly the right word to describe what we all do every day… juggling more like…

You could tell us how you managed it while you used to work. Or was there no concept as such back then?

The concept existed, but it wasn’t really regularly practiced. Monday through Friday were all work. Saturday and Sunday (except when I had to fly out Sunday afternoon for out-of-town meetings first thing on Monday), we’re focused on home life.
