Weekend Writing Prompt — The Chef

“The head chef at a fine restaurant is under a lot of pressure,” Ronald said. “The food, whether the main course or some tidbit served as an appetizer, must be presented beautifully and must activate the diners’ tastebuds.”

“I’ve been to a lot of fine restaurants in the vicinity, and I admit that Chef Sven is the best,” Claudia said. “He does what he does with such aplomb.”

“A plum?”

“No, not a plum. Aplomb. You know, with confidence, self-assurance, and skill. With aplomb.”

“Oh right, of course, aplomb. Gotta run. Bye.”
