John Steiner, the blogger behind Journeys With Johnbo, has this prompt he calls Cellpic Sunday in which he asks us to post a photo that was taken with a cellphone, tablet, or another mobile device. I thought this might be fun so I decided to join in.
John’s Cellpic Sunday post featured the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan. So I decided to feature a couple of photos I took on my iPhone of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
This first photo was taken on August 1, 2018 on the Lands End trail, near where the Pacific Ocean waters flow into the San Francisco Bay. I’m facing east, looking back at the Golden Gate Bridge, which spans the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It links the city of San Francisco — at the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula — to Marin County on the north shore of the Bay.

This second photo was taken at the end of August 2018. With the iPhone facing northwest, photo shows the bike path leading from the Golden Gate Bridge toward the Marina district in the city. The bridge is behind the bicyclist, who happens to be my daughter.

If you wish to participate in this fun cellphone photo prompt, please click on the link to John’s post at the top of my post to see his photo and to read his instructions.
Wonderful photos, Fandango!

On my first visit to the US, my brother took me to see the Golden Gate Bridge and we walked a bit of the trail too. Lovely pics.

Love the pics and the memories from when I lived in the Bay Area in the early 1960s.

Maybe some day I will see that bridge in person, until then it is nice to see such good pictures of it.
