Do you think Easter, like Christmas, is too commercialized and goods available too early in respect of the holiday?
I’ve never felt that Easter was as commercialized as Christmas. And this year, in particular, maybe because I’ve got a lot of other things on my mind, like returning to be physically fit after breaking my hip and my arm at my shoulder, I didn’t really pay that much attention to the upcoming holiday. And now, Easter has come and gone.
Did I miss anything important?
I agree – Easter isn’t as commercialized as Christmas. Hopefully you’re able to get outside on Easter – the weather was fantastic.

Thanks for the response Fandango. It was just a normal weekend for us, with some extra chocolate thrown in.

I didn’t observe much hype concerning Easter. Maybe even less this year than “usual.” I think that aside from the religious or church oriented stuff, it was always mostly about coloring eggs and buying chocolate, so, in my experience, it never was very commercialized.

I agree. When it comes to commercialization, Christmas is way over the top.

Christmas dominates a dozen or more aisles in a store, whereas Easter is maybe 4 or 5. Growing up in a nonreligious house it was all about the bunny… or all commercialized.
