I’m not sure, I reckon the court case will be drawn out for a long time. He will still be convinced he has done nothing wrong, and they are all against him.
Thirty-four counts of falsifying business records
(upped to felonies) — plus, a count of conspiracy
concealment (and to undermine the 2016 election);
… prosecutor went on to say that Mr. Trump has made recent threats [I’m using lowercase while what I, Marleen, am reading is in all caps] in emails and … irresponsible social media posts, threatening death and destruction, and even world war iii. He said that these public statements to the district attorney, which included a photo of [himself/Trump] swinging a baseball bat towards the [DA’s] head was very concerning … what effect it will have on protecting jurors and witnesses…
I take it the stuff will be publicized during the Republican primary season. Republicans (and the Republican-leaning dodge artists) are mostly sick in the head now or pathologically ill-informed (which is not to say Democrats are great leaders either).
I was mourning over what I now see becoming of our country… maybe a couple months ago (not to mention yesterday and the day before).
And then I turn my face to reality and say, “Oh… boo-hoo. Look at what we did to the people who were here before us.”
We deserve to fail,
but I wish we’d try to do better.
The judge overseeing former President Trump’s criminal case in New York City has set the next in-person hearing for Dec. 4, roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar.
Trump was arraigned in Manhattan in front of Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday, where he was charged with 34 felony counts related to hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election. Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Absolutely no way to know at this time … we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. But let’s not forget there are at least four other cases against him, one of which could, if he is found guilty, result in him being ineligible to EVER run for public office again … not even dogcatcher!
There is a lot that can happen between now and December. I know there are other charges in other courts that he may have to face between now and then and I hope that happens. I’m not too hopeful about this one and I doubt he will ever go to jail. How would that even work? Where would he be jailed? Will the Secret Service have to go to jail with him?
I would really like to see him convicted of at least some of his crimes and I would like to know that he can never hold any public office.
He’d be doing us a favour if he choked on a burger and we didn’t have to worry about him anymore.
I think he will be convicted, but wont spend time in jail. I hope for jail time, but I doubt it. You don’t hide things for as long as he has if it wasn’t “that bad”. I applaud everyone who has made this happen. For ONCE, people are going to see someone “powerful” held accountable. It’s a good thing, either way.

Yep. And I don’t think much happens at that time.

I doubt he’ll go to prison, much as I would like him to! He’ll probably get away with everything, like he always does.

Possible, but I think it unlikely.

I’m sure the world would have long since forgotten about Trump, if it weren’t for the Democrats reminding us all the time.

He’s doing a pretty good job keeping himself in the spotlight.

From here it looks like the Dems are more interested in persecuting Trump than in running the country.

From here (to me, anyway), it looks like the Dems are trying to save the country while Trump and the Republicans are trying to destroy it.
