Three Line Tales — Old School

“Wouldn’t it be easier if you used a GPS device or Google Maps on your smartphone?” Ellen said to her husband when he pulled the car over to the side of the road and unfolded the large roadmap. “That large paper map is so twentieth century.”

Richard looked at his wife with disdain and simply said, “I’m old school.”

My daughter learnt her directions using a map, sitting next to her uncle.

That’s how I learned back before we had GPS functionality. Had a glove compartment in my car full of paper maps.

I still have a map bag in the car. I used to do a lot of driving around the region for work and went to some out of the way places so my maps were used often.

At six minutes (or 6:05) there’s an old-school figure for analysis.

I aways had good map reading skills, but the power to refold them often illuded me. Ha, ha!
