For today Sunday Poser, Sadje wants to know…
Do you believe in luck?

Oh, I believe in luck
There’s good luck
Tough luck
Rough luck
Blind luck
Dumb luck
There’s a rabbit’s foot
A horseshoe
A lucky penny
A lucky charm
A four-leaf clover
A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
Throughout my life
I’ve had plenty of luck
But sadly, in my case
My luck’s been no luck at all
Lucky luck. Anita

I used the word “luck” an hour or so ago, in writing. I really don’t like the word
(and don’t use it out loud unless I feel it will be taken as funny or ironic if even then). I don’t believe in the idea, either. But it can be employed to sum up having no explanation or wanting to be brief. Depending upon one’s definition of luck, however, taking an opportunity that shows up can seem luckier than not being receptive or observant; or, not making a decision and having things go well might be lucky.

I agree, my luck is probably classed as sod’s law luck.
