John Steiner, the blogger behind Journeys With Johnbo, has this prompt he calls Cellpic Sunday in which he asks us to post a photo that was taken with a cellphone, tablet, or another mobile device. I thought this might be fun so I decided to join in.

Can you guess what this is a photo of? Perhaps if you’ve ever had your main water drain from your home leading out to the water line in the street in front of your home back up, you might recognize this. That’s my shower drain in the center of the picture and the black stuff is what was left after the water level very slowly receded (drained) from my shower floor. Not only did it look gross, it smelled gross, too.
I took this photo with my iPhone on November 18, 2019 and texted it to a plumber to request an emergency house call. Fortunately, the plumber took pity on me and came out right away. He and his crew were able to fix the problem. Unfortunately, it took two days and cost a small fortune.
If you wish to participate in this fun cellphone photo prompt, please click on the link to John’s post at the top of my post to see his photo and to read his instructions.
You mean leading out to the sewer. Oh, god. Gross! Feeds my fears. I have some creepy feelings about infrastructure involving water, while of course I absolutely love having bathrooms. Natural bodies of water don’t creep me out (and I enjoy swimming); add something man-made — not including a regular floating boat/raft — I become wary. It’s only ever when I’m not home that I wonder about a bathroom I’m using. What did they have to do to fix it? I have had a bad experience at home with pluming, particularly with the plumber who addressed whatever the original situation had been.

I’ve had worse🤪. I was making coleslaw and didn’t realize our garbage disposal couldn’t handle the unused bits. Luckily it was the basement laundry room that flooded with cabbage leavings. From then on I was strictly limited on my disposal usage. Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad
