Di, of Pensitivity101, is our host for Truthful Tuesday. This week Di wants to know:
Would you like to be famous? And if so, what for?
When I was much younger, I thought being a movie star, a successful recording artist, a renowned author, or a world-class athlete would be a kick. But I see what fame can do to people, especially in the age of the internet, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I wouldn’t want my personal and private life — everything I say or do — to be exposed.
Bottom line, I would prefer to be rich and anonymous over rich and famous. But I’m okay with the fact that I am neither rich nor famous. I can happily live my life in peace, quiet, and anonymity.
My thoughts exactly 👍🏼

Good answer Fandango. Thanks for the response. I had fleeting thoughts of being famous for either my music or poetry, but as I grew older, the idea of living in a goldfish bowl and my privacy being invaded to the extent of what colour toilet paper I may be using threw any appeal out of the window.

I agree being famous is not what it seems.

There is a lot to be said for living a peaceful quiet life!

I especially hate the insensitivity of the media sticking a camera and microphone in the faces of the famous after they just faced a tragedy… let them live in peace, they ARE human too. The perfect answer.
