Rory’s Dawdler — 02/26/23

Rory, the king of questions, also known as the Autistic Composter, has come up with a new series of questions that he calls “The Dawdler.” He poses three or four questions twice a week, questions he says are “inspired by life, humor, conversations and observations, town life, blog posts, writers, gardening, news stories, television, entertainment, and human curiosity, and so on.”

Here are Rory’s three Dawdler questions today.

Which behavioral trait describes you more – introvert, ambivert or extrovert?

Over time I’ve exhibited all three of these traits. In my younger days I was an unabashed extrovert, the life of the party. By the time I reached middle age, I was more of an ambivert, as some of my unbridled youthful exuberance was tempered, but in the appropriate setting, I could still be the life of the party. Now I’m retired, and after the pandemic, I’ve become much more of an introvert and have no desire to be with large groups of people.

How often do you clear out free space on your phone, and how often does your storage space fill up? Also, how many apps do you have that you use daily?

Every night, before I turn off my iPhone, I swipe up to close out all of my open apps. And once a week I close all of my open tabs on Google, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. As to my storage space on my iPhone, it has 256 GB available. I’ve had my phone since November of 2020 and I’ve only used 92 GB, so I’ve still got plenty of storage left.

How many apps do I use daily? I use Jetpack (in lieu of WordPress), Amazon, Google, IMDB, Solitaire, Safari, iMesssge, and my iPhone’s camera app, among a handful of others.

Are you easily annoyed, and your temper continually snaps? If so, what irks you the most, or are you the calm one who only blows occasionally?

I’m generally an easy-going guy who very rarely exploded in anger. However, I have to admit that as I’ve aged, I’m much more easily annoyed than I used to be. What irks me the most? Let’s see. Christian nationalists, white supremacist, QAnon followers, far-right Republicans, most Republican politicians, and anyone who cares more about right-wing political ideology over the survival of democracy in America.

    Great answers matey 🙂

I think many people tend to start life at the extro scale and then like a good wine mellow down 🙂

I am impressed with the method of strategy for clearing the phone, very orderly and l am still blown away by the massive amount of space phones have!?

Agree with all of the last comment and l am not even an American, just convert it all to the UK and we are good 🙂
