Our dog was due for a rabies shot and for several other annual vaccinations in January. But as the old saying goes about best laid plans, I busted my hip (and broke my arm) before we were able to take her to the vet for those shots.

Our dog is very rambunctious, and while she loves going in the car, it almost always means both my wife and I are in the car with her. But given my situation, that’s just not practical. So we turned to a mobile vet to make a house call.

She came by yesterday and gave our dog her rabies shot and two other vaccinations, cleaned her ears, and clipped her nails. Sure it was a little more expensive, but the convenience of having the vet come to our home instead of dragging our dog to the veterinarian’s office was well worth it.

    Hope your fur baby is OK. Excellent service. Our vet is about 28 miles away and Maya is due for her shots next month. I shall also get the next three months worming and flea treatments and another pack of oil capsules. We pay a monthly fee which includes the basics so will only have to pay for the oil capsules. Wonder what she’ll weigh in at this time? We think she’s had another growing spurt!!

        He was great. His wife was a pediatrician and she got a great job in LA, so off he went. I still miss him.
