It’s February 8, 2023. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “perfume.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.
ODE TO PERFUME
She sprayed the perfume on her wrist
Then she began to cough
Why? oh why? it made her cough?
Becos it was (yep) off
Best I could to Fan……
MACABRE ODE TO PERFUME
The perfume smelled like dead flesh
Dead-flesh type perfume
Police inspected body
(Remains of in the room)

Don’t worry about it, Brian. I don’t think they’ve yet found a way to transmit odors through cyberspace.

whoever made
gardenias
jonquils
lavender
and roses
beautiful floral perfumes
to make us swoon
and momentarily
remove us from the
grime and grind
thank you
