Is anyone else getting inundated with spam comments that appear to be nothing but random letters and numbers? Or am I just the lucky one?

I just got one today, but it was much shorter, only 5 random characters, so I guess my spammer was lazier than yours.

No. Haven’t seen spam like this on my site.
Hey Fandango, just letting you know that right now your follower count of 5,775 appears to be a palindrome. 😁

It is, isn’t it? Thanks for letting me know.

I just checked and there was one, like yours. In the middle of the gibberish, there seemed to be an ad for furniture polish… 🤷🏼♀️

Furniture polish? So weird.

Just you Fandango! Try to reset your spam filter on your account. That is what worked for me.

Man, the spambots are so uncreative! At least I still write in complete sentences (more or less).

No clue. I wrote in my About page that I am not a Jewish spambot. (https://jewishyoungprofessional.wordpress.com/about-2/) I contacted Askimet and told them I was a not a spambot. And Askimet/WP still thinks I make an unconvincing human….

🙂 I have not received any spam that looks like what you have received.
However, I will keep an eye out for it in the future.

I think you have to level up from my grandfathered plan to get spam. I don’t get much, and the filter works very well.

I just went through 100 and saw nothing like that. Just a bland sameness of some wording to the effect of a wonder product that it never identifies.

I have some links, but not those ones. You get to know the spam, and delete accordingly.

I haven’t seen them, so … Lucky Fandango 😊

I rarely look in my spam folder. I did just now and don’t have anything like that. Just the usual stuff that is irrelevant to the post. The filter is pretty good and I rarely have to manually delete spam.

I’ve had a few and put them in my black list

I have not seen any like those Fandango, but the random letter patterns look like the coding you might see if you are try to open an unsupported image or file format in an application.

OK Fandango come clean. Those look like a sort of onetime pad. Your past in counter intel is catching up with you.
