FOWC with Fandango — Pejorative

It’s February 1, 2023. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “pejorative.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

Oh my. The end made me think of one of my aunts. My mom never liked her, and this aunt “threatened” my dad (only with informing some Catholic authority) when he got married if she ever saw my dad bring his non-Catholic wife to church. Of course, he brought his non-Catholic wife to take classes for becoming Catholic. My mom decided not to join. She told me why, when I was an adolescent. In recent years, however, she has been saying my dad never asked her to join the Catholic Church — a lie. She has now joined, and my aunt Carrie’s on complaining about my dad.

        Mis-apprehending what is true
        Mal-spending her latter years
        Pseudo-preaching as big sis

I am feeling pejorative about your prompt today, Fandango as you always say that you try not to use words that nobody knows.
