FOWC with Fandango — Spontaneous

FOWC

It’s January 20, 2023. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “spontaneous.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

I am feeling a bit natural and unconstrained to comment so without effort or any premeditated impulse, here it is Fandango 🙂

    My odes are all spontaneous
    (Giving what I’ve got)
Most of them are all, however
    Mostly tommy rot

Yes Fan is in hospital. Fell off a ladder and fractured his hip. I also fell off a ladder and fractured my pelvis. 6 weeks to heal. They say people over 60 should not climb ladders……..Oh well….

Terrible news…..don’t go up on to the roof….that is too dangerous. Tell Fan we hope he recovers soon. …. 6 weeks is pretty good to heal a fractured pelvis….good bones…you must eat a lot of dark green veg and mushrooms and NO it’s not the beer:) Take care

It was the destruction of daily routine that got to me. Plus hospital food. I don’t go on the roof. Get someone else to clean gutters. And to think I did a 2 storey place by myself in my youth……..

    i love spontaneous affection
if you were here I would cover you
    in hugs and kisses
but since i told you to piss off forever
    this afternoon
    it is unlikely the situation
    will ever arise

Oh – I’m sorry to hear about your accident. I only did now, so please don’t think I’m rubbing my mobility in your face. I hope you get well soon.
We have a saying in German, often told to people who had an (avoidable) accident: If the donkey is feeling too comfortable, he goes on the ice (and endangers himself that way). Use your energy differently and stay off the ice (and the roofs!!) All the best.

I long for the notion of a fresh fish dinner
after a day of spontaneous freshwater fishing.

While avoiding PFAS altogether is probably impossible, it can help to know how to cut out little things that pack big doses — like certain fish in certain waterways.

Though the EPA’s stringent new guidelines for PFOS and its equally notorious cousin, PFOA, are not currently enforceable, the agency is working to clean up some of the country’s most contaminated drinking water.

The 2021 Infrastructure Bill designated $5 billion for that effort.
