I get some interesting spam comments on my blog, most of which are captured by Akismet, WordPress’ spam blocker. I generally do a mass delete of all of my spam comments after checking to see if any legitimate comments got caught up in Akismet’s spam-catching net.
I thought it might be fun to select a particularly interesting or unique or outrageous spam comment and highlight it each week.
This week, the first week of 2023, I’m featuring three short spam comments, all of which were comments on my “Who Am I” about me page.
Grant Zilla complimented my about me page, which he apparently believes sets the standard for such pages.
This item is the most effective of a standard.
And Graliontorile thinks I’m utilitarian but, at the same time, stylish.
Some truly nice and utilitarian info on this website, as well I conceive the style has got good features.
Finally, Yajaira Copland says I’m faster, better, and more effective than I’ve ever been.
You might locate that you are doing every little thing much faster, much better and also more effectively than ever before in your life!
My back may be giving me fits, but according to these three spammers, I’m doing something right in this first week of the new year.
Anyway, have you read some catchy spam comments that you’d like to share with us? If so, put them in the comments or create your own post and tag it #FSCW.
It must not be easy for you being judged as the standard that bloggers should follow, and I would say that you are more practical rather than being attractive, so utilitarian is a good description of you. That bag that you wear over your head does give you a certain “je ne sais quoi”, so you do have your own style. I guess you are a lot like the 6-million-dollar man, being able to jump higher and run faster than the other bloggers and I am happy that you are better than the rest of us.

Those comments were high grade quality. They even made some sense. Well done spammers

Aside from the one in either Urdu or maybe Tagalog, These mind are absolute duplicates of the previous ones. Nothing really juicy.

I like when they congratulate you rather than criticize. I feel people who have no grip on the language should be telling me my writing is unclear.

First, I realized that when I responded to one of your recent posts about your back problems, I failed to catch a typo and wrote that I hadn’t had the kind of *excruciating spams* that you’ve had. Seems apt here. Hope you’re progressing.
I’ve been flooded with urgent pleas that I look into an apparently new app (or something) called “Amazingness.”
And here’s an issue that I must report to our WP Happiness Engineers, who will probably send me to Akismet: Every time I respond to a comment on one of my posts, the AI (absent intelligence) duplicates it, notes that it’s from “Anonymous,” and sends it to my spam folder.

I got a lot of “amazingness” spam this week also, probably more than half I went through had it in there.

Some of my spams have been excruciating.
“Amazingness” sounds like it must be truly amazing. 🙄
And I do hope that issue with replying to comments on your own posts being sent to your spam folder can be fixed. How annoying!

Nothing juicy at yours either Fandango. I have noticed that the spelling has improved though 😂

I’m Jealous. All I get is the My Pillow guy sending me regular email spam. You are a hard act to follow Fandango…I guess it goes with being so utilitarian.

I actually reached the bottom of the spam barrel this week. Your weekly feature is helping me keep it at a decent level, and today I have ZERO. How often does that happen. The best one of the bunch I could find was: Sprinter Camper Van Rental commented on my post titled, “dVerse — Poetics — He waits,” saying: “Breathing in and out numerous times a day enhances your life exceptionally.”

I definitely agree that breathing in and out throughout the day is good for you. It’s when you stop breathing in and out that you’re in deep doo-doo.

Most of my spam is from the Panny family, from Wim, Kia, Anna, Carl, Alan, Judy, Yori, Jane, Lisa, Jim, Tio, Jack, Jason, Sam, Zac, Jos, Mark, Eva, Ivy, Paul and that is just in the last week. Not exactly comments, but all have been deleted.

Sounds like you are golden and should have no worries about your blog… and you know they actually are right, just maybe not in those direct words.
