Every Monday, Paula Light, with her The Monday Peeve prompt, gives us an opportunity to vent or rant about something that pisses us off.
First let me say that my peeve doesn’t piss me off. In fact, I feel guilty about even mentioning it. After all, we in Northern California are in the midst of a multi-year severe drought. Still, the fact is that this week we are going to be hit with what is known as a Pacific Atmospheric River. It will dump a boatload of rain in the Pacific Northwest and the San Francisco Bay Area over the next eight days

Yes, we need the rain. Desperately. But my dog hates the rain and I hate walking my dog in the rain. And drying her off after bringing her in is a task neither she nor I look forward to.
So yeah, I feel guilty about complaining about all the rain we’ll be getting. And I feel for all of those who have been suffering through frigid temperatures and blizzard conditions over the past few days, when all I have to complain about is getting soaked walking my dog.
But the fact remains, for admittedly very selfish reasons, I’m not a happy camper about all this rain. But it’s my blog and I’m going to peeve about it.
Don’t hate me.
Get some potty pads and let your dog go in the garage. Problem solved.

Understandable really. I live in Australia, and while it’s good to have rain. A lot of the time, when we get rain, it just kind of dumps on you, lol. We’re nearly in the middle of Summer, and we are having flooding issues in our outback areas…Murray. It’s like great, rain, but people’s homes are being swept away. So not so great.

We’re glad we kept the hi-vis yellows from the boat…… they keep the rain and the wind out. Maya now has a hi-vis jacket too.

I’ll have to get one for our dog.

We had one for Maggie and stencilled DEAF on it so that people understood she was not disobedient, she just couldn’t hear us. Luckily she remembered a lot of the hand signals we’d used from a distance when she was a puppy. She’s a hard act to follow, but Maya is coming along and trying…………. VERY!! LOL

My original holiday plans were to fly home from SD today on Southwest Airlines so I am okay with the rain as opposed to being stranded at the airport !!

We have plenty of rain here – so I totally understand where you are coming from. Rain – vital for life – but there are challenges to adapt to.
