SoCS — Winter Storms

So, my wife and I are in Northern California, where the weather is clear and cool. We’re sitting nice and cozy in front of the fireplace in our family room watching some movie with an R rating about some diplomatic government agency hit by unprecedented attrition while trying to save the world from the next global disaster. It’s an awful movie and I don’t recommend it.

I know that the weather may be an issue for a lot of folks in the East, South, and Midwest this weekend, and if that is the case for you and you’re having to deal with monstrous winter storms and icicles hanging from, and possibly taking down, power lines, I hope you are able to stay safe, warm, and cozy as those frigid temperatures and heavy snowstorms hit your areas.

But on the bright side, you’ll have a white Christmas.

Written for Linda G. Hill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt, where the word is “cozy.” Also for these daily prompts: My Vivid Blog (so), Word of the Day Challenge (rating), Fandango’s One Word Challenge (diplomatic), Your Daily Word Prompt (attrition), The Daily Spur (monstrous), and Ragtag Daily Prompt (icicle).

We didn’t get a lot of snow (Ontario/Canada) but it was quite windy (white out conditions). Took my grocery person longer (I tipped her well). A lot of people won’t be able to get together with family since some roads are closed.

We have the cold sans snow. Today will be the coldest then a slight warmup before as Christmas day dawns. As for today, we will stay in where it is warm and cozy.

I’ve always wanted to see Snow, but that’s too much snow and poor Texas. Though they voted them back in, cause … immigrants.
