I get some interesting spam comments on my blog, most of which are captured by Akismet, WordPress’ spam blocker. I generally do a mass delete of all of my spam comments after checking to see if any legitimate comments got caught up in Akismet’s spam-catching net.
I thought it might be fun to select a particularly interesting or unique or outrageous spam comment and highlight it each week.
I’ve actually got two short ones to share with you this week. This first one was a really high “quaoity” comment made in response to one of my Story Starter prompts:

website, that’s whjat tuis web site iis providing.
This next short comment was in response to my “Who Am I” about me page.
Great post, I think website owners should acquire a lot from this web site its very user pleasant.
I’m thrilled to have my blog characterized as being “very user pleasant.”

I had one spam comment this week.
Parodontale (Zahnfleisch-)Infektionen sind eine Erkrankung des Gewebes, das Ihre Zähne an Ort und Stelle hält.
It is probably a compliment on my outstanding writing, but since I don’t want to go through trying to translate what I think is German into English, I just deleted it.

It translates to, “Periodontal (gum) infections are a disease of the tissues that hold your teeth in place.” 🤣

No Fan. My translation below is more correct. He has the dreaded Gewebes disease.

It seems to refer to an illness you have for music of the Gewebes genre and that you should halt this illness. Would this be right?…..
“(illness, disease): Erkrankung refers to an illness as it manifests itself in a particular afflicted person.

User pleasant? lol! Mine for this week, was one who told me they were having trououble viewing my blog in internet explorer! Which is now obselete! Lol!

Mine were either in some Indian dialect (Urdu?) or in a version of English that bares little resemblance to whatever I was taught. It’s up for tomorrow.

Once again, I didn’t think of my spam folder until you mentioned spam again. 🙄 I looked…only two, neither of any interest. WordPress seems to be doing a better job of filtering out spam than it used to.
