John Steiner, the blogger behind Journeys With Johnbo, has this prompt he calls Cellpic Sunday in which he asks us to post a photo that was taken with a cellphone, tablet, or another mobile device. I thought this might be fun so I decided to join in.
Last week’s featured photo was one I took atop Strawberry Hill in Golden Gate Park in 2012. This week’s feature photo was also taken at Golden Gate Park, but in 2017. It’s of one of the two large windmills toward the west end of the park.
If you’re from the Netherlands, I’d imagine that windmills like this are a relatively common sight, but here in the U.S., you just don’t see too many of these relics from an earlier time. We are fortunate enough to have two of them in our beautiful Golden Gate Park.

If you wish to participate in this fun cellphone photo prompt, please click on the link to John’s post at the top of my post to see his photo and to read his instructions.
I wish I’d known about these on our last trip through San Fransisco. I’d have made it a point to visit. I guess it will have to be the next trip west.
