SoCS — Identical Tween Twins

For this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt from Linda G. Hill, we are given the words “twin” and “tween.”

They were identical twins
Named Donna and Dana
A mischievous pair
Always tricking their parents
And their friends

When they were twelve
Not yet teens, but tweens
They had so much fun
Messing with their teachers
And confusing their classmates
And angering their principal

When they became young adults
They would pull a switcheroo
On the boys they dated
And would compare notes

They met identical twin bothers
Named Bill and Bob
Donna went out with Bill
Dana went out with Bob
Or was it vice versa?
They couldn’t be sure

After graduating from college
Donna married Dave
Dana married Dan
Dave and Dan were also identical twins
Dave and Dan couldn’t tell
Donna and Dana apart
Donna and Dana couldn’t tell
Dave and Dan apart

But that wasn’t a problem
The four bought a house together
And became a cozy quartet

        Interesting how Pininterest always finds me. ‘You have a good eye Matthew’.. Pin is either Chinese or thinks I’m Matthew Don. Dunno. Pin is a funny name to have don’t you think?
