FOWC with Fandango — Fountain

FOWC

It’s November 22, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “fountain.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

    I like this one Fan

    ODE TO FOUNTAIN

    I am a little fountain
    Spouting, trickle trickle
    Coming out a brassy nozzle
    Never ever fickle

    I’d rather write bout fountains
    Than insane war Ukraine
    My fountain’s always peaceful
    Quiet, selfless, sane

    Fountains give me anytime
    Don’t give me Donald T
    Chaotic, unreliable
    It’s fountain (yep) for me

See why I liked this word Fan?
    Spouting trickle free
    All my drivvel, nonsense
    Spouting just from me

My Spike RIP coming out Fan……..

Did you know he was bipolar?

And ill at the end. He told them
he was sick but they all thought he was joking.
As you would…..When he died they realised
not so. His gravestone bears the
line ‘I told you I was ill’ in Irish gaelic…..

I honestly didn’t know anything about Spike Milligan. Sounds like he was quite a guy.

I saw Spike Milligen on stage in London in his theatre piece “The Bed Sitting Room”. He was one of my favourites. Strange but very funny – my type of humour. I was then a teenager.

His strange behaviour was generated in a manic state. He was bipolar……..Much creative work is created in a state of mania as was bipolar Robin Williams……..as is I……

    the fountain of youth
was a goer for a while
    until some bastard greek deity
    blew it up recently
said it was much more fun than
    turning narcissus into a daffodil
