It’s November 9, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “segment.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

    i saw a man
    eating a mandarin whole
    without breaking off each segment
    it bothered me
    I don’t think
    i would want to know
    someone who did that
    some people say i am difficult
    they could be right

      I have, upon occasion, consumed half of a small mandarin with breaking off the segments. But never a whole one.

        Gosh Fan, even a half one down here is considered uncouth………..

        We trained up proper-like……

        By our mommas and poppas………

        Not like today’s parents………

        11-yr-olds stealing cars, unlicensed, bashing defenceless old ladies, etc

        And so another begins a life of crime……..

        Parents are abrogating their responsibilities……….

        How did I get onto this?………..

        Your fault Fan…….

        Don’t eat no more 1/2 mandarins, or 1/4ers………
