Di, of Pensitivity101, is now our new host of Truthful Tuesday post. She mentioned that Truthful Tuesday was originally conceived by PCGuy IV in July 2020. This was his first set of questions:
- Do you prefer coffee or tea? (You must pick at least one, even if neither are your favorite beverage.)
- Considering your previous choice, do you prefer it hot or iced?
- How do you take it (cream, sugar, honey, black, etc.)?
- What is your earliest memory of drinking coffee?
- What is your earliest memory of drinking tea?
If you’re interested, my response to PCGuy IV’s inaugural questions is here.
Today’s Truthful Tuesday question from Di is:
Do you prefer a single question, a variety on a theme, or a mixture of both for the Truthful Tuesday prompt?
Di, it’s your prompt, so you should do whatever you want to do with it. Personally, I would prefer one meaty question, since there are other prompts, including your own Share Your World prompt, that pose multiple questions.
That said, as I sometimes do with my Provocative Question prompt, I ask one primary question with some related questions, such as why or how or when.
But, as I said, it’s now your prompt, so whatever floats your boat, Di.
Thanks for you input Fandango, I appreciate it.

I like coffee best. I do like tea, and would like to drink it more often (with sugar), but I prefer it without milk. Therefore, it would stain my teeth terribly. With coffee, I only like it with cream, a significant amount of cream; still colors my teeth, but I can brush that off.
I used to use less cream and include honey in my coffee. It was bothersome trying to find a consistent source of pure honey. The laws for what sellers can call honey are pretty shit. (And, no, that doesn’t mean honey is bee poop, as I’ve heard people say… even a local producer.) It doesn’t have to be free of corn syrup 😣 (last time I checked, this was especially true for imported honey after a law change, but the regulating could have changed again). I’d long been buying a honey from South America, and I’d noticed a difference in the hue or tint and flavor. It just so happened to be at that time that I was taking an environmental science course at a local college. While completing an assignment on energy usage for obtaining foods, for which I’d chosen the ingredients for hot cocoa including honey, I found out the law had recently been made ridiculously lax (which, of course, wasn’t the point of the subject matter while I enjoyed figuring the answers to what we supposed to do too).
I’m sure my first time trying coffee was at my mom’s parents home, hot. I remember thinking it doesn’t taste as good as it smells. I like both coffee and tea hot as well as cold. Tea? We had that at home, and I don’t remember the first time for either the hot or the cold.

I like Marlene, Fan, want to answer the first questions:
So I will
I prefer coffee. It’s got that bite I’m looking for. Tea is insipid to me……
Winter hot coffee, summer iced coffee. Drink it in the cafe. While I create.
Can coffee make you write silly stuff Fan?……
First started on my iced coffee binge at uni. Turned me into an addict Fan?
Then came the epiphany I could write ‘new-age’ poetry while sipping cappuccino
No publisher was interested. What did/am I doing wrong Fan? They said new-age rhyme don’t sell……….
My momma plenished my baby bottle with Earl Grey. Cruel. Maybe that’s why I’m silly? Did Spike get fed EG too Fan?……
I hope you are enjoying your house guests………

My husband [husband when we were having children] had Coca Cola in his bottle as a toddler — I don’t know how many times (hopefully not many). It’s not clear whether to blame his mother or his father, but they think it’s a funny story. His teeth are excellent, though, even now. I wouldn’t even put juice in a bottle, because of it being too sweet. Water was fine… if that’s what they get. Still, my youngest son ate a lot of oranges all day long. Pickles, [organic natural] peanut butter sandwiches, and oranges for about a year.

I am enjoying my house guests, Don. I also am enjoying my coffee, which I first started drinking in the army. What is new-age poetry? I know and like new age music, but can someone who is old age, like me, enjoy new-age poetry?

Will get back on this New-Age Poetry stuff. I’ll dig out one which Samuel inspired me to write about 2 year ago. With his blessing I could maybe score another hit……
