    he only ever writes
    a line or two
    not even a short paragraph
she can feel the dark clouds of
    of a cooling off period
about to settle over her joy
    nothing lasts for very long

It’s nice to know I’m not the only silly one in this neck of the woods.

Seriously, why are people so normal and boring? It drives me mad.

E.g Normal/boring-type ditty heralding the arrival of spring

              ODE TO SPRING (by Gerald)

              I hear the bees a’buzzing
              Spring is in the air
              Butterflies are fluttering
              Heralding the air

              Me

              Shit………

How many personalities do you have inside your one body, Don. And do they always talk with one another. Perhaps therapy will help. So you can be normal again.

              Normal and boring? never…..

What’s within me? Do we talk?

From the past comes this one:

              Don you’re an enigma
              Your characters are your life
You talk to them they talk to you
              Tell us how’s your wife?

              She puts up with me………

              He’s mad…….

              No, just different……..

A chemistry lesson for you Fan.

I studied the complexities of the benzene ring
    in my youth.

Passing it on to the oldies now.

Run Don’s Open University for Interested Oldies

They all love me. Tea and bikkies at end

Never too late to learn something new hey?………

Now what am I meant to be doing here?

    ODE TO PARAGRAPH

    Yes

    Ortho Meta Para
    Brothers (surname Graph)
    Playing round the benzene ring
    Having lotsa laugh

ha ha (Orth G) ho ho (Meta G) ho ho ha (Para G)

    What happy little bruvvers Fan?……

Playing round their benzy ring. How quaint……

Maybe a simplified lesson for the oldies over tea and bikkies?

I prefer coffee and a doughnut over tea and bikkies (whatever that is), if you don’t mind, Don.

        Whatever floats your boat Fan………

I like playing with my rubber ducky in the bath. I don’t have a boat…….

Bikkies slang for biscuits . You didn’t know this? Sounds very Britishy. Like Queenly. Come join me cousin Fan for Earl Grey and bikkies. At the local caff. ……..

And biscuits mean cookies, right? (While I hadn’t known bikkies means biscuits.)

Cookies is what I hear Americans say, so must be.

            Reminds me of this. Remember?

My mum lived to 100. Have I the longevity gene too? I hope so. Few of the normal things showing signs of wear. Trouble putting the sox on. Hearing aids. Am I capable of skiing at Lake Tahoe anymore? Am I game to hang out over top of Eiffel Tower? Nah. Give me a coffee in the cafe, a paper. Time to create your entertainment for tomorrows breakfast. I would miss doing that.

Skip also wants an easy life. Keep up his beer supply and shelter from the possums at night and he’s happy.

God, Australia is a lucky country. I feel for your situation there.
