Every Monday, Paula Light, with her The Monday Peeve prompt, gives us an opportunity to vent or rant about something that pisses us off.
My peeve is about my over-sensitive Apple Watch. Our year and a half year old dog, mostly pit bull, is a very playful, rambunctious dog, and when I roughhouse with her, I keep getting this message on my Apple Watch:

I touch “I’m OK,” and then I get this:

I touch “I did not fall,” and that’s the end of it.
So what’s my peeve? Well, I love my Apple Watch, but I wish I could either turn off this feature or at least tone down its sensitivity a notch or two.
Oh wait. I just googled “how to turn off Apple Watch SOS Emergency notification and saw these instructions:
You can change your Emergency SOS services as follows:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab
- Tap Emergency SOS
- Turn off fall detection
Okay. Never mind. Please ignore this post.
Ok so when you’re hit by a car and fall down just hope it’s not a hit and run???😂

I love my neurons, Don! Especially when they’re firing on all cylinders!

So do I. It’s when they stay in overdrive too long that causes the problem…….

Would not wearing your watch when playing with the dog be an option?

The playing is spontaneous, so I’d have to stop, take my watch off, and then I’d probably forget where I put it. 🤷🏻♂️

I love it, I wonder if you say I did fall, if it then asks on purpose or by accident 😂

Yes, they should add that!

Ha! Probably.

It seems like a nice feature to have for old people, but what makes more sense to me is removing your watch when you play with your dog.

But then I wouldn’t be able to find it again.
