Spam Comment of the Week — Week 44 2022

I get some interesting spam comments on my blog, most of which are captured by Akismet, WordPress’ spam blocker. I generally do a mass delete of all of my spam comments after checking to see if any legitimate comments got caught up in Akismet’s spam-catching net.

I thought it might be fun to select a particularly interesting or unique or outrageous spam comment and highlight it each week.

This is the right blog for everyone who would like to understand this topic. You know so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I really will need toÖHaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on a subject that has been discussed for decades. Wonderful stuff, just great!

So what was this that this spammer wants everyone to understand? What subject did I put a fresh spin on that has been discussed for decades?

This week’s spam comment was made on my “Who Am I” (About Me) page. I’m thrilled to learn that I’ve been a topic of discussion for decades!

    That’s too funny, Fandango. Can’t believe another week of spam has collected. I looked through a couple hundred and none to outrageous. This one from a Grease Trap Cleaning Company:
    “Hello there! This post could not be written much better! Looking at this article reminds me of my previous roommate! He continually kept preaching about this. I’ll send this post to him. Fairly certain he’ll have a great read. Many thanks for sharing! ” I forgot what the post was about but it doesn’t really matter, does it.

    This is one of the best spam comments I received lately. 👇🏼

    “The next time I read a blog, I hope that it won’t fail me just as much as this particular one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, but I truly believed you would have something useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something that you could possibly fix if you were not too busy searching for attention.”

    How about this comment on a post titled Cruising with Costa. Why, I wonder, is it a little discussed topict?

    Many of mine were too rude to repeat, just reams and reams of aggressive advertising for “adult” products which I have not or never will care about lol
