Today’s word is “giant.”

    ODE TO GIANT

    I am a nasicornous
    Beetle (yes I am)
    A giant of my genus
    Black and blue and flan

    Sounds a monster Fan………

    What colour is flan Fan? New one on me……

      A horny little fella. “Flan” is a variation of tan unique to Florida. Ergo, “flan.”

        Clever……you have now become my chief colour consultant.

        I once had a horny beetle. Rhinoceros beetle. I used to be in the army. One can get away with a lot under cover as you probably know. Came back from New Guinea with a rhinoceros beetle in my pocket. Horny little critter he was. Sadly he gradually became weaker and passed away. Missing his friends no doubt? Seriously, he didn’t/couldn’t adjust. I’m to blame for his death Fan. I gotta live with that forever now. Just for the thrill of seeing my welcome-homer’s reactions. How mean can one get? And not to mention the collection of colourful butterflies. What quarantine Fan?…….

        Gosh, I’m turning into a Marlene…….

        PS. Said he was a she before she passed away

          Maybe you separated her from her horny little babies, leaving them to fend for themselves. You probably broke her heart, which is why she died. You are so cruel, Don.

    the giant with all his bravado
    fee fie fo fum
    i smell the blood of an english man
    didn’t stand a chance
    against jack be nimble
    jack be quick
    jack jump over the candlestick

      Ah Rall….. you’ve taken me back to my childhood…….sitting in bed while my mama read me the story of Jack and the Beantalk….no that’s not a typo……as Jack climbed up, the little beans called out “Go Jack, get him with your sling shot”……..that’s another giant story?……
