#WDYS — Beyond the Green Doors

Camilla had walked past the arched gate thousands of times, but the green doors had always been closed so she had never seen what was on the other side. But on this day, unlike every other day, the doors were flung open and Camilla could finally see what lay beyond the green doors.

Dare she step closer to the gate? Did she possess the courage to pass under the arch? It was so green and lush and beautifully manicured on the other side. The draw was magnetic. She felt she had no choice and Camilla left the gravel walkway on her side of the wall and stepped into a magical world on the other side.

Suddenly the green doors swung shut behind her. Camilla turned around and stared at the now closed doors, not sure what to make of it. She was scared, but at the same time, she felt compelled to move forward. She turned again and started walking deeper into the sculptured gardens.

No one ever heard from or saw Camilla after that day, and no one remembered seeing the green doors at the gate open ever again.

    This is a good write……..

The photo also is great. Evokes the emotions. After all, shouldn’t all creative writing/artwork etc strive to pull at our emotions?……..
