Paula Light, at Light Motifs II, has this prompt she calls TGIF. She encourages us to take this opportunity to openly chat or Jabber about anything we want.

Paula mentioned that she has deactivated her Twitter account now that “egomaniac” Elon Musk has taken it over. Good for Paula. I’m not on Twitter, but were I, I would do what Paula did.

And on a related note, this cartoon from Paul Noth at The New Yorker magazine showed up in my email a few minutes ago, so I thought I’d share it with you. Seems relevant.

And on that note, happy TGIF, everyone.

    Thanks Fandango! I hear he’s planning to restore the accounts of trolls and haters, so I’m happy to be out of there!

    I’m not on Twitter either but I’m not thrilled about the idea that I may wake up in the morning to hear on the news what Donald Trump tweeted the night before if he is allowed back on. I don’t know much about Elon Musk but I’m beginning to believe he is a nutter.

    I don’t do a lot on Twitter but if there’s a local emergency you will get the fastest update there. People on the ground, etc. But there are enough smart kids out there to come up with another platform and my hope is Musk will meet the dust. I certainly won’t be buying a Tesla.

    I heard on Colbert last night that he tweeted, (paraphrasing) “I just bought Twitter. Let that sink in.” and had someone take a picture of him as he carried a sink into Twitter HQ. Colbert had a priceless response (you can find it on youtube.)

      Supposedly it has 215 million users, but how many of them are real people versus bots is unknown.

    🤔 I am curious to see what Elon Musk is going to do with Twitter.

    Anyway, I will simply have to read all about it because I deleted my Twitter account a few years ago.
