About Cats

I saw this on Facebook and couldn’t resist passing it on.

Our kitty left us this past January and I really miss him. We have a dog now and I love her, but there’s just something really special about cats. All you cat lovers know what I’m talking about, right?

You know the difference between dogs and cats, don’t you?

A dog looks at you and thinks to himself, “You feed me, you shelter me, you love me. You must be God!”

A cat looks at you and thinks to himself, “You feed me, you shelter me, you love me. I must be God!”

‘ this passed January ‘ still jars with me. ‘this past January’ doesn’t…….

Oh, pets do break the heart. I’m sorry. Lizzie is thirteen this year, and the birthdays are starting to bring that smidge of stress.

I suppose it’s as good an explanation (and very cute btw) as any. Another I contemplated, last night, is that the world will be reformed after the mega church movements have done all the blaspheming they can conjure and set their hands to do.

If cats didn’t jump (antique pottery) — AND we could keep the door closed so he or she couldn’t get outside to become some critter’s snack — we’d have a few. We used to have cats, but there are so many reasons to not let your cat roam outside. And here, unless you don’t care if your kitty lives or dies, it’s most unsafe to let them out. Between the foxes, coyotes and the BIG freaking hawks, pet cats look a lot like lunch.

Our cats have all been indoor cats.

So were ours, at least for the past 40 years. But we have a doggy door and that’s so we don’t have to climb the stairs 100 times a day to let the Duke in and out.

That’s cute. I love cats. The one that manages me currently is ten years old so I hope that she’ll be around for a few more years.

I love that photo. We’re talking about getting another cat, but ours was really bullied by my daughters cat, so not sure if it’s a good idea to introduce another cat

Love that map!!! And I fully agree with your summation of the differences between dogs and cats! I was always a ‘dog person’ … until 1994 when my daughter moved back home with her two cats. Since then, I don’t know how many strays and abused kitties we have taken in, but somewhere along the line I became a cat lover. At one time, we had ten, but sadly we are down to just 5 right now — all of them abandoned or abused and with a variety of physical and emotional issues, but I love them so very much.
