At a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island, Kurt Vonnegut informs his pal, Joseph Heller, that their host, a hedge fund manager, had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his wildly popular novel, Catch-22, over its whole history.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have: enough.”
Life isn’t all about money, it is more about being happy and satisfied with your accomplishments.

I love this story!!!! Perhaps it reminds us that maybe Trump has gotten what he deserves already. Although I think he deserves even more….and I’m not talking about money..

Yes, that really IS the key. We reach a point when we have enough and feel good about it. They never make it. Nothing, no amount of money, fame, or power will ever BE enough. There’s something missing in them.

So true. And it goes beyond managers of hedge funds and who are working in the worlds of stock and other finance possibilities like shorts and derivatives and whatever else. For instance, we have lawmakers (or campaigners) who are addicted to their stock portfolio growths and to all the ways their positions can be of benefit to themselves. The tie-ins of corporations themselves to politics and power and in disregard of people in general is our lot.
